Established in 2007, Llys Fechan has built a strong reputation for delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a warm, welcoming environment. In 2022, the home was proudly acquired by Mr. and Mrs. James, who also own Melbourne House Care Home. As sister homes, Llys Fechan and Melbourne House work collaboratively, sharing best practices and a commitment to consistently high standards of care.
Llys Fechan is a small, family-run care home with just 18 bedrooms, allowing us to provide truly personalised, individual care in a close-knit, homely setting. We offer both short-term respite stays and long-term residential care, tailored to suit your unique health needs and lifestyle preferences.

Services
At Llys Fechan Care Home, we are proud to offer some of the finest senior living in Carmarthenshire. Our care is tailored to the individual, with a range of flexible living options designed to meet each resident’s unique needs and preferences.
We provide a comprehensive range of services, ensuring that every resident receives the right level of support, whether they require minimal assistance or more involved care. Our team of qualified care staff, all trained to QCF Level 2 and above, are on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, delivering personal and healthcare support with professionalism and compassion.
We recognise that needs change over time — and that’s perfectly okay. We’re here to provide the support you need, when you need it, in a warm and respectful environment that truly feels like home.
Respite care
Respite care is provided for how many days, weeks and months the service users' and family wish, it is a service designed to give the family, friends' a break from caring. We know offer Day Care if the number of needs of the service remains low need.
Emergency placement
When every day activities become too difficult to manage by ourselves, we often need our family and loved ones to chip in. Llys Fechan Care Home provides the support required to carry on with dignity, with the same love and care a family member would provide. This support includes 24/7 Emergency Care services, that can be arranged by the local authority.

Medication Monitoring
Personal Centered Approach
We provide comprehensive medication monitoring to ensure that each of our service users receives the correct medication at the right time. At Llys Fechan, we work closely in partnership with the local pharmacy and GP practice to maintain safe, accurate, and up-to-date medication management for every individual in our care.

As a senior care worker, you will work with the residents closely on a daily basis, assisting them to live their lives to the full. You will assist them with all of their needs (including personal care) according to their wishes. Becoming a friend and having fun with them is one of the most important parts of the role. Duties will include: Ensuring health and wellbeing of residents. Providing personal care and emotional support. Participating in stimulating activities. Involving residents in a person centred approach. cleaning. The Ideal Candidate: A background of working in care is desired, with experience working as a senior carer . More important are; A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible. An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to peoples lives A positive ‘can do’ attitude A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
